What to look for in a Muslim marriage app

A good Muslim marriage app should make your intention obvious from the first screen. If people cannot see whether someone wants to marry soon, someday or never, you will spend weeks finding out what a profile could have told you in seconds.

Look for three things: honest profiles that cover faith and family plans, tools that keep conversations respectful, and privacy you control. Everything else is decoration.

How Rabta works

You build your profile in eleven short steps: who you are, where you live, your faith, your education and work, your marriage plans and what you expect from the process. Then you add three to six photos and, if you like, verify with a selfie.

In Browse you filter by what matters and like the people who stand out. When a like is mutual, you match. A new match has 72 hours for a first message, and you can keep up to five conversations going at once, so nobody is left waiting while you chat with twenty others.

When it feels right, talk on a voice or video call inside the app. You never need to share your phone number to get to know someone.

Built around faith, not around swiping

Rabta asks the questions a family would ask. How practising are you? Do you pray? Sunni, Shia or another tradition? Do you want children, would you relocate, and how soon do you hope to marry?

These answers sit on the profile and power the filters, so you meet people whose plans line up with yours. You can also show your profile only to people who fit your preferences.

Free to start

Rabta is free to download on iPhone and Android, and the essentials are free: your profile, the main filters, up to 15 likes a day and matching. Gold and Premium add more room, like unlimited likes, interests with a personal message and the advanced filters.
