Delete Your Account

This page explains how to delete your Rabta account and the data connected to it. You can delete your account yourself from inside the app, or ask us to delete it for you if you can no longer sign in.

Option 1 — Delete from inside the app

This is the fastest route and takes effect immediately.

1. Open Rabta and sign in.
2. Go to the Profile tab, then open Settings.
3. Scroll to Manage Account and tap Leave Rabta.
4. Choose a reason for leaving, then tap Next.
5. Select Delete permanently — not Deactivate.
6. Tap Delete forever to confirm.

Option 2 — Ask us to delete it

If you have lost access to your account, uninstalled the app, or would rather we handle it, email us:

• Send an email to contact.sinan.cp@gmail.com
• Use the subject line Delete my Rabta account
• Send it from the email address on the account, or tell us the phone number you signed up with, so we can confirm the request is really yours

We verify every request before acting on it. Once verified, we delete the account within 30 days and email you to confirm. We never charge for this.

What gets deleted

When your account is deleted, we remove:

• Your profile — name, date of birth, gender, bio, education, ethnicity, faith details and marriage preferences
• All profile photos and any blurred copies of them
• Your matches, likes, interests and profile views
• Your conversations, including voice messages and images you sent in chat
• Face and family verification photos
• Your location data and push notification token
• Your Wali (guardian) contact details and any linked Wali records

Your profile stops being visible to other users the moment you confirm deletion. Remaining copies, including files in backups, are fully purged within 30 days.

What we keep, and for how long

A small amount of information is kept after deletion, only where we are required to or where it protects other members:

• A deletion record (your email address, the date and the reason you gave) — kept for up to 12 months to prevent abuse, ban evasion and repeated fake sign-ups.
• Safety and moderation reports filed against the account — kept for up to 24 months so we can protect other members.
• Purchase records — subscriptions are billed by Apple and Google, and their transaction records are held by them under their own retention rules. We do not hold your card or bank details at any time. To cancel a subscription, do it in the App Store or Google Play before deleting your account; deleting your Rabta account does not cancel it.
